Welcome to MOCA – Monmouth & Ocean County Action. Our logo, “Brewing Ideas, Stirring Change” is born from our group meeting for coffee and writing postcards.
Who We Are
We are a local group of concerned citizens who believe passionately in democracy, the United States Constitution and the United States of America. Our group evolved from the Greater Red Bank Women’s Initiative, which started in 2017. We believe that a small group of people, when working together, can create change and make a positive impact.
We share the mission of the national Indivisible movement: “We fight on, together. Our democracy is under threat. But we will not yield to fascism. We will stand together and we’ll fight back in defense of our rights, our communities, and our values. Join us.”
We collaborate with other local groups who share these same values.
What We Support
- Bodily autonomy and reproductive rights
- Immigrants and their rights – no human is illegal
- Reducing gun violence and promoting gun safety
- Action to address climate change, which is real
- Affordable and accessible quality healthcare for all
- Supporting veterans and their families
- Supporting public education
- Reducing costs & expanding access to secondary education, be it college or technical training
- Raising wages to living wages
- Curbing corporate consolidations and ending Big Money in politics
